Aerospace Engineering is the field of engineering surrounding the science, design, construction, development and testing of aircraft and space craft. The field of Aerospace Engineering can be divided into two major subfields: aeronautical and aerospace. Watch video and summarize in notebook. This video may be a little long but it shows what the coefficient looks like a commercial aircraft. It breaks down the components of lift and explains them in depth. 1. As the airplane approaches the stall you'll see the airflow on the wing. Take note of where the turbulence starts as the wing starts to stall and how the air flow reorganizes as the wing recovers from the stall. Why are the pieces of yarn moving erratically during a stall? 1.2.6 - Operation "Credible Sport"
In April 1980, the Pentagon sent elite troops into Iran to rescue American hostages held by student revolutionaries. Instead of a complicated strategy involving short-range helicopters refueling in the desert, the military built a lumbering plane that could drop directly into a soccer stadium before coming to a screeching halt. This video shows what a glider in flight looks like. Notice that it needs a plane to pull it up to an altitude and then it release the chord and the planes glides back down.
